Conduct and Safeguarding

We aim to provide a friendly, inclusive, welcoming and safe environment for those participating in the group. With this in mind, we will not tolerate bullying, harassment, discrimination or other inappropriate behaviour towards other members.

All members should be familiar with the group charter, which sets out our expectations of all members.

Incidents of this nature are not a common occurrence, but if anything should happen on one of our walks or other events that you are concerned about, or which makes you feel uncomfortable, please let either the walk leader/event organiser or any member of the committee know, so that any necessary action can be taken.

As we are part of the Ramblers, those participating in any of our activities are expected to follow the Ramblers Code of Conduct. This can be found, along with the organisation’s safeguarding policies, here.
