Meet at 11:00 upon arrival of the 10:24 from Reading at 10:51. If this train is delayed, then the start of the walk will also be delayed. Nearby parking is also available near the recreation ground off Victoria Road, South Ascot.
The walk will take us across Ascot racecourse and through Ascot Heath along the Three Castles Path, taking in views of the old grandstand. There will be a brief bit of roadside walking, before we pass through more fields and towards Wood End and Paddock Wood, with the Great Pond on the left.
After a planned pub stop at the Thatched Tavern in Cheapside, we will continue past Silwood Lake and through Coombe Grange on the edge of Sunninghill before returning to the train station.
Please bring a packed lunch as well as plenty to drink.
