A chance to blow those cobwebs away by walking up Box Hill.

Meet at Box Hill & Westhumble Station at 10:40am. If catching the train from Reading, please take the 9:32am departure (Wokingham 9:40am), and change at Dorking Deepdene (arr: 10:24am).  At Dorking Deepdene, we will need to take the 3 minute walk to Dorking (Main) station to catch the 10:37am train to Box Hill & Westhumble Station.  If driving, please drive to Dorking (Main) Station (£3.70 at time of writing) and join us for the short train journey to Box Hill & Westhumble (there is limited free parking at Box Hill station).

This walk is a hilly walk with lots of up but plenty of views as well! We’ll start by winding up hill through woodland to the viewpoint at Norbury Park, and then downhill to views of Cherkley Court across the valley. We will lthen reach the the village of Mickleham where we walk up through the Mickleham Downs to pick up the National Trust Box Hill path.

The walk will then take us through Headley Heath to the visitor centre where we’ll stop for tea and cake! We will then had back to Dorking Deepdene Station.

Please bring a packed lunch and something to drink.

Optional pub stop at the end in Dorking.

NOTE: This is a linear walk.  Buy a return to Box Hill & Westhumble Station.
