Walk details

If you like woodland then this is most definitely the walk for you, we will passing through no less than 6 different woodland areas (from what I see on OS maps), therefore most of the walk is very shaded.

We start off by retracing some of my route from my Ramble to Reading Part 3 – Goring to Pangbourne (which seems a long time ago now!) but this time we head downhill towards Goring.

We pass near to the rail station in Goring (given the rail strike though, this is unlikely to be a viable drop-out point) and then immediately start our climb upwards out of Goring being rewarded with fine views across the valley towards Streatley. After we have taken in the fine view we will stop for Lunch and then we will head uphill through more woods towards Hill Bottom where we will have a drink stop at the Sun Pub.

After our drink stop in Hill Bottom we will continue our ascent through Woodland back into Woodcote back to the start.
