The second part of a double header walk covering Cookham, Marlow and Maidenhead, this part will cover Cookham Dean, Marlow and Bourne End. You have the choice of doing this part, the other part covering Cookham and Maidenhead, or both!

Walk details

After the success of our Whitchurch/Goring double header last month, we are repeating the concept again, this time towards the eastern part of our county! You have the choice of doing the shorter first part, the longer second part or both! Please note that you if you would like to complete the full 14 and a half miles, you must sign up for both this walk, along with Part 1.

We will head out towards Cookham Dean before passing through Bisham Wood. There will be a brief bit of road walking into Marlow where we will cross over the Grade 1 listed suspension bridge. We will then follow the Thames Path to Bourne End where we will have a pub stop at the Bounty, a pub only reachable by foot or boat! We will then continue along the Thames Path back into Cookham.

Travel details

If coming from Reading, please get the 13:12 train and change at Maidenhead and get the 13:29 to Cookham. If either train is delayed then the start of the walk will also be delayed.

Parking available at Cookham Station where charges apply.
