Hola, caminantes!… (that’s “Hello, ramblers” in Spanish, or close enough to it!). I’m pleased to invite you to our annual traditional Christmas party, which this year will have a Latin American island twist.
It’d be great if you could join us on Sat 2nd December, when we’ll be heading to Revolucion de Cuba in Reading. The night will feature delicious Cuban food, plus live Cuban and Latin American music.
On arrival, you can choose from Corona or Peroni beer, or red or white wine. This will be followed by a Christmas-themed Mostrador buffet of hot and cold Cuban food (including vegetarian options). If you’d like to see the full menu before deciding whether to attend please let Steve know via the above address and he’ll email you a pdf of it.
After the food and the conclusion of the band’s set, we’ll party into the night courtesy of a DJ playing Cuban-themed music as well as UK chart dancefloor fillers. A large space in the restaurant has been reserved for us until 01:00.
The restaurant is located on Friar Street, 5 minutes’ walk from Reading Station, and a prime location for buses to Wokingham and other out of town locations.
Entry is £32 per person. If you’d like to attend please email your confirmation to Steve on the above address by Sunday 5th November, and he’ll contact you with payment details. Spaces are limited (there are 25) and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
UPDATE 17 November: The organiser is planning to go to the Greyfriar pub in central Reading for a drink prior to the party – it’s two minutes’ walk from Reading train station and five minutes from Revolucion de Cuba. Hope you can join me there from 1830!.
