To conclude our weekend we can head to Lynton and Lynmouth which can be best described as the walking capital of Exmoor

Although no planned walks will be provided, the aim instead will be explore these two adjoining villages separated only by a cliff railway. The two villages share much history for which we can learn more by visiting the museum, learn about the tragic floods in the 1950’s, stroll around the gorge or sample a nice cup of Devonshire tea or perhaps something slightly stronger if we stay until lunch time.

Please meet by the bottom of the cliff railway for 10.30am meet up. Parking should be available nearby but note charges apply. If there is intent to stay for lunch then I would go for 3-4 hour stay. From there we will decide our plans but likely we will break into small groups or explore independently and arrange to meet up again at an agreed time and venue. Don’t worry if you are running late I am sure you will spot one of us about!

This social is part of the Berkshire Walkers North Devon Delight weekend away – full details of the weekend can be found HERE.
