Challenge EscapeRoom fun Reading social

Due to the success of the last Escape Room social, it’s time to kick those brains into gear once more and try to ESCAPE before the time runs out! After entering a room with your team, the door is locked behind you. 60 minutes are on the clock!

Success, failure and bonding are inevitable – escape is not!

There are three rooms available:

Blown Away – moments ago on the uncompleted Metro line between London and Reading, construction workers discovered and accidentally activated an explosive device in the tunnel. Police are appealing for the members of the public with the nerve and skill to disarm this device to step forward as the bomb squad won’t arrive before it’s set to detonate! FULLY BOOKED!

Kidnapped Room – you wake up in a small darkened room. Nobody can clearly remember it all seems so blurry. You realise you have been kidnapped! FULLY BOOKED!

The Vampire Slayers – legend states that the Vampire Lord and his clan awakes every thousand years to appease their thirst for blood. Your group of explorers have discovered today is the day they will arise to seek their vengeance against the human race! FULLY BOOKED!

The cost is £18.00 per person – based on 5 or 6 per team!

We will meet at the venue at 11:30pm to be ready to play at 11:45pm.

The game will last for 60 minutes (assuming you manage to get out!) Option for a a drink at a local pub afterwards to debrief, for those that wish 🙂

Booking onto a walk

Most walks do not require advance booking, and you can just turn up on the day. We encourage those comfortable with Meetup to indicate there that you plan to come though, so that others can see there will be plenty of people there – this really helps to encourage new members to come along.
For the few which still have limited numbers, this is handled via Meetup. Follow the link to a walk’s Meetup page (or press 🎟 Register / 🎟 Tickets / 🎟), and mark yourself as attending.

Pace Guide

Gentle: led at a gentle pace with regular short breaks for water or rest. Should be suitable for anyone capable of the distance. (Expect 2–2.5 mph.)
Medium: led at an intermediate pace with fewer breaks but still suitable for most walkers. (Expect 2.5–3 mph.)
Fast: led at a quick pace with minimal breaks. May be a challenge for those with less fitness. (Expect 3 mph+.)

Speeds quoted are only a rough guide, including time spent on short water/rest stops and negotiating stiles/gates/roads etc. but not that spent on longer lunch or pub stops.
