Due to Government and Ramblers restrictions, all walks are limited to 5 walkers + the Walk Leader.  Please do not turn up for a walk without prior booking, as we will have to turn you away.

Due to COVID-19, we all need to take extra steps to stay safe. Please follow all safety advice given by the walk leader, including the latest guidelines on physical distancing while out walking.

For your safety, we request that you avoid car sharing and only use public transport if you have no alternative.  It is also recommended that you bring hand sanitizer or gloves in case you need to touch gates/stiles/etc

Meet at Thatcham station for a 10.00am start.

The walk will head along the canal East from the station for a stretch, crossing the A4 and up past Colthrop Manor and on towards Bucklebury Grange across rolling fields. The walk will then head towards Upper Bucklebury and taking in part of Bucklebury Common. We will stop for lunch along the way for our socially distanced lunch stop. After being refreshed here we will start heading back to the station via Blacklands Copse and Long Grove Copse. Once we have crossed the A4, we meander through the industrial area of Colthrop and join the Kennet and Avon Canal and on towards Thatcham station.

The footpaths may be a bit muddy so please wear suitable footwear.

Please bring a packed lunch and something to drink.
