For those who may have been out on the pub crawl the day before, and feeling a little delicate, this is an ideal walk to get out in the fresh air and blow some of those cobwebs away.

For those who haven’t partaken in the pub crawl, it’s a lovely walk to go for a gentle amble on the edge of the Chilterns and enjoy the fresh air.

We will set off north from the Cherry Tree inn, up towards Devil’s Hill, then on to the picturesque village of Nettlebed. We will then head back through Lowercommon Wood and Highmoor Common Wood (which see to be the wrong way round on the map), before heading back to Stoke Row in time for a late lunch at the Cherry Tree for those who wish.

This walk has some very gentle ascents a mix of woodland, field and country village.

Given the nature of the walk, there will be no lunch stop, but please bring water with you particularly if you might be dehydrated from the previous day!

PLEASE NOTE: The idea is to have lunch at the end of the walk at the Cherry Tree, but please feel free just to stop for a drink if you prefer. I have made a provisional booking for 10 people, so if you think that you would like to eat, please let me know, so I can adjust the numbers accordingly.

The menu will be the normal Sunday menu.
