Walk details

This 6 mile walk will start with us leaving Goring & Streatley Station and heading out through Cleeve and along the edge of Battle Plantation.

Following Battle Plantation, we head off to Wroxhill Woods and Plantation with some beautiful views across the open fields near Goring. This walk has us passing through plenty of woodland as we then go through Old Elvendon Wood.

Our lunch stop will I’m sure be sheltering under tall woodlands trees – shame they will not have any leaves on but that gives us the opportunity have a kick around of the leaves like you used to do as a child (or like me as an adult).

The walk takes us up towards Cray’s Pond and on towards Cold Harbour. We get to walk through the ancient woodland of Great Chalk Wood.

The final stretch of the walk leads up back down towards Goring and joining a short stretch of the Thames Path before finishing our walk back at the station.
