Meet at Bramley station at 11.00 for this circular walk. If travelling from Reading take the 10.38 to Basingstoke (arrives 10.53), buying a return to Bramley. If you’d like to make use of them there are parking spaces around the corner form Bramley station.

We’ll head south for a short while on roads, through the small village of Cufaude, past an Army training camp towards the edge of Sherborne St John.  Here we’ll wander west through two small copses towards the entrance to The Vyne – a former Tudor powerhouse-turned 17th-century family home.

After a short stop for lunch in the house grounds we’ll follow paths and a brook through Morgaston Wood. This beautiful, ancient woodland is home to beech, poplar as well as deer, squirrels and various birdlife.

Next, we’ll head north down quiet paths and across fields and farmland towards the village of Little London, before diverting east towards Latchmere Green, and our final destination at the Bramley Inn for a drink.

Please bring a packed lunch, some snacks and plenty to drink
