This lovely 9.8-mile circular walk explores the countryside around Henley via the Chiltern and Oxfordshire Ways and takes in a famous copse.

Walk details

Starting at Henley train station this walk explores the countryside surrounding the north west of the market town. The walk provides a welcome mix of woodland and open countryside and the early elevation gain provides good views of the surrounding area. Optional drink stop at the end of the walk.

Travel details

By public transport

To get to the walk catch the 10:06 train from Reading, change at Twyford, arrive at Henley 10:27. At the end of the walk trains back to Reading run every 30 minutes, leaving on the hour and at 30 minutes past each hour.

Alternatively catch the 800 bus. 09:15 from Reading Friar Street, arrives in Henley 09:55. Busses back to Reading leave at 28 minutes past each hour.

By car

Henley train station car park or three South Oxfordshire District Council car parks – charges may apply.
