Meet at Henley on Thames station at 1.25pm, after the arrival of the 1.20pm train from Twyford (connecting train leaves Reading at 12.48pm). The walk leader intends to be on this train; if the train is delayed the start of the walk will be as well. Plenty of parking is also available at the station (charges apply).
From the station, we will walk over Henley Bridge, following the Chiltern Way to the hamlet of Aston, and a pub stop at the Flowerpot Hotel. From there, it’s down to the river and back to Henley past Temple Island and along the famous regatta course. We will then head to one of Henley’s pubs at the end of the walk.
This is an exact repeat of the evening walk from Henley that I led in May 2017. Owing to the later start and short length, there will be no lunch stop.
