Meet At Henley-on-Thames train station for a 10:30am start. There is a hourly service from Reading, that arrives in plenty of time. Parking at the station will cost £2:50, although there are other car parks in the town, which may or may not be cheaper.

Well, my first alternative Saturday walk is here, although this may end up being the only show in town. So the plan is to head northeast, behind the back of Badgemore Golf course, towards the Village of Bix. From there its north towards Bix Bottom, and the remains of St. James Church. The journey home will be via the Golden Ball in Lower Assendon. Note: much of this walk is on hard(ish) surfaces so mud shouldn’t be an issue. Please also bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink.
