Meet at Henley station for a 10.30 start after the arrival of the 9.52 train from Reading.

Being in the Chilterns it is a rather hilly walk, with lots of ups and downs but we will be rewarded with lovely views. We will head out of Henley along the Oxfordshire Way, passing through woodland and open fields towards the village of Middle Assendon. We will then continue to Stonor and Bix Bottom, stopping to explore the medieval ruins of St James Church. We will head back to Henley via Lambridge Road and the interestingly named Fairies Hole.

Please bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink. There is no pub stop during the walk, but there is the potential to find a pub at the end, although Henley is like to be very busy as it a bank holiday.

Book a place on this walk by completing the Google Form. We will only use the contact information you provide to get in touch about the walk, or to share if requested with NHS Test and Trace.

If after booking, you need to cancel your place on the walk, please email walkbookings@berkshirewalkers.co.uk so that we can make your place available to someone else.

Please only contact the leader with queries about the walk or if you are delayed on the day.
