Did you know that High Curley Hill is the tenth highest hill in Surrey at 129 metres (423 ft) tall? Well this hill sits within Lightwater Country Park, and offers views of Bagshot Park (the home of Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex), Ascot Racecourse, Woking, Guildford and if on a nice clear day the London Skyline too.

We start from Bagshot station where we shall meet outside Platform 1 at 19.00hrs. There is a small car park at the station or on street parking down various side streets. Please park considerably. If catching the train from Reading, please take the 18:12 departure that changes at Ascot, and arrives at Bagshot at 18.59. We make our way to Lightwater Country Park through some residential roads before crossing the M3 (via a foot bridge.) We admire the beauty of Hammond Pond before we take in the views at the top of High Curley hill. We make our way down towards the old vehicle testing area and cross the M3 via an underpass and make our way to Earlswood Park which if approached at the right time of year has a beautiful display of rhododendrons.

Please bring a drink and snack with you.
