Meet at Midgham station for an 11:30am start. If you are coming from Reading, take the 11:10am departure, which will arrive at Midgham Station at 11:27am. If you are coming from Newbury, take the 11:16am departure, which will also arrive at 11:27am.
If the train is late, the start of the walk will be too. Limited parking is available at the station (charges may apply). There is parking available near the station at The Rowbarge pub which we can stop at for a drink when finished.
The walk will head north from the station, crossing the A4 and up towards Upper Woolhampton and past Douai Abbey. The walk will then head through the woods towards Chapel Row where we can stop for a drink at The Bladebone Pub. After this we will head through part of Bucklebury Common and down towards Midgham Green and back towards the station.
The footpaths may be a bit muddy so please wear suitable footwear. Please bring a packed lunch and something to drink.
