Starting from the North Exit at Reading Station ( parking available in a number of town station car parks, at a charge) we will explore the urban and at times quite peaceful landscape of Caversham and North Reading. This is a slightly extended version of my evening walk in September but in the opposite direction. We take in the Thames, St Peters Church and circuit the edge of North Reading before returning via Bugs Bottom and Balmore Park.

Strong trainers should be okay although may be muddy in one spot. This amble is mainly on tarmac surface. Options to shorten walk if weather poor. If availability there may be a pub stop towards end of walk and simple directions to start point should you wish to opt out of pub. No lunch stop today. Please bring water and maybe a snack.

Note – we’d be delighted to welcome any new faces as always. Just turn up!
