The walk starts at 11:08am from Overton station. – train departs Basingstoke at 11:00am, Reading at 10:22am. If coming from Reading, please change trains at Basingstoke.
A linear walk from Overton station to Whitchurch. This walk takes us into Hampshire and along the River Test, famous for its clear waters. We will be walking the hills around Overton, then past the Bombay Sapphire distillery (not stopping I’m afraid!) but shortly after there is a pub stop (depending on weather/numbers as the pub only has a small indoor bar area but large garden) at The Watership Down Inn. Then we walk along the River Test until Whitchurch.
The walk will end in Whitchurch at the White Hart Hotel, a short walk away from Whitchurch Station. There are a few more pubs in Whitchurch to visit after too!
Please bring food and water.
