The plan: We’ll all get together (virtually) to have a chat, prepare and cook a pizza, and eat together. The plan is to keep this simple and approachable, so if you’re not a confident cook but enjoy a pizza and a chat – this is for you! With that in mind you can choose how ambitious you want to be. Ideas include:

  • Adding your own toppings to a shop bought Margherita pizza.
  • Buying pre-made dough and making the sauce and toppings yourself.
  • If you’re feeling brave, making your own dough and building up from there.

The host will be using a shop bought base, and adding a homemade tomato sauce, cheese and toppings before cooking – so if you want to follow along, this will be the best option.

Expect the whole event to last two hours, the plan is to have everyone eating a lovely pizza by 8pm! Ciao.

Sign up in advance (contact the host on the email address shown).

Some links/options for inspiration:

  • Simple: Shop bought Margherita – add your own toppings
  • Simple (alternative): Use pitta bread as the base, add some toppings – see https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/pitta-pizzas-0
  • Middle: Shop bought base (usually found near the butter/cheeses). Add your own tomato sauce, cheese and toppings; (you can follow this recipe, but ignore the base section; https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/pizza-margherita-4-easy-steps )
  • Advanced: DIY 😊 https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/pizza-margherita-4-easy-steps Important note. If you choose this option you will need to have your base ready by 7pm (the start of the social). This is to ensure everyone starts the social at the same stage in the process.
  • Lazy: Call this number and tell them what you want 0118 931 2121. Charges apply.
  • Final tip: most of the recipes expect the base and tomato sauce to be at room temperature before cooking – so take things out of the fridge before 7pm to give them time to warm up.

If you have any questions or want some ideas, please feel free to contact the host beforehand.
