Walk details
The walk starts by heading north to join the Kennet and Avon canal. After walking east for a mile we will then join the river Lambourne walking through Shaw until we arrive at Donnington Castle. For the final part of the walk we will cross over Donnington Grove lake then head through Shaw before finally arriving at the beer festival site, where the walk will end.
For those not joining the beer festival social afterwards, it’s about 0.7 miles through the town back to Newbury station.

If coming from Reading, please get the 09:35 train, arriving Newbury at 09:55.
By car
Parking is available at the Kennet Centre and Newbury Wharf car parks.
