What a treat we have in store for you: a tour of the Ramsbury Brewery & Distillery!
Ramsbury estate is made up of over 19,000 acres spread across North East Wiltshire, West Berkshire and North Hampshire. The brewery itself is centred in the beautiful village of Ramsbury which nestles in the heart of the Kennet Valley. The brewery was built in 2004 to make the most of the world class barley grown in their fields. The distillery produced its first bottle of single estate spirit in late 2015 and has been winning international awards since, and the estate pub, The Bell at Ramsbury (which you will have visited on the walk beforehand!), won AA pub of the year in 2017.
The tour will take around 1.5 hours and includes the brewery, distillery and optional tasting sessions of both their award winning beer and single estate spirits.
Cost is £17.00 per person – £15.00 for the tour & £2.00 for transport back to Hungerford at the end.
Please note this social is twinned with the ‘Ramsbury Ramble‘ starting earlier the same day. Transport back to Hungerford train station at the end of the tour will be provided to those who have pre-booked.
If anyone would like to partake in some more socialising once back in Hungerford, the organiser just so happens to be an expert in local hostelries of the area and would be happy to lead you astray. Trains back to Reading run every hour-ish, just don’t miss the last train at 23:27!
