Join us for Thursday night at the Reading CAMRA Beer and Cider festival – one of the largest beer festivals in the country now in its 25th year!

With over 450 Cask Ales, 50 KeyKeg Beers, 140 Ciders and Perries, as well as a large range of Foreign Beers, UK Wines and Mead, there should be something to please (nearly) all of us! There is a pub quiz for those who want to take part and there will be food available – see website for details.

Tickets are available in advance

£14+ booking fee – includes priority entry, programme, souvenir glass and 4 drink vouchers

Alternatively you may be able to buy your ticket ON THE DOOR – £5 – includes entry, programme (while stocks last) and glass – please note you will have to queue if the venue is at capacity.

The organiser of the social plans to be on site by 6.30pm, but if any of you get there earlier please grab a table!

PS – Are you a CAMRA, EBCU or RURAS member? Bring your membership card along on the day to receive an additional one pint free of charge on top of the two pints already included in the advance ticket option.

Booking onto a walk

Most walks do not require advance booking, and you can just turn up on the day. We encourage those comfortable with Meetup to indicate there that you plan to come though, so that others can see there will be plenty of people there – this really helps to encourage new members to come along.
For the few which still have limited numbers, this is handled via Meetup. Follow the link to a walk’s Meetup page (or press 🎟 Register / 🎟 Tickets / 🎟), and mark yourself as attending.

Pace Guide

Gentle: led at a gentle pace with regular short breaks for water or rest. Should be suitable for anyone capable of the distance. (Expect 2–2.5 mph.)
Medium: led at an intermediate pace with fewer breaks but still suitable for most walkers. (Expect 2.5–3 mph.)
Fast: led at a quick pace with minimal breaks. May be a challenge for those with less fitness. (Expect 3 mph+.)

Speeds quoted are only a rough guide, including time spent on short water/rest stops and negotiating stiles/gates/roads etc. but not that spent on longer lunch or pub stops.
