Something slightly different! As part of the Reading on Thames festival, outdoor arts company Walk the Plank will be putting on a multi-sensory spectacle complete with lights, music, fire and pyrotechnics. For those who haven’t been before, Caversham Court Gardens are a lovely setting and very apt for a show that will weave together stories about the Thames and its significance to Reading. See and experience the river in a way you hadn’t imagined before.
Food stalls at the event are organised by Blue Collar who organise the Reading Feastival in the Forbury Gardens, although many people also bring their own picnics and drinks. Please bring a blanket or seat to sit on.
The organiser is happy to make a block booking of tickets; please text Arlene by 12th August if you would like her to book for you.
Alternatively, individuals can purchase their own tickets from the event website. In this case, please still text Arlene if you plan to attend.
The performance will start at 7.30 pm but the organiser suggests meeting at 4.45 pm at the North entrance to Reading station to walk over together. Otherwise, please join us directly at Caversham Court Gardens.
