This walk sets off from the Goring and Streatley train station at 10:40, promptly after the arrival of the 10:22 train from Reading. If the train is delayed, the start will also be delayed. There is parking available at the station where charges apply.

We quickly head out of Goring, passing over the river Thames and on towards Streatley; here we will pass the pub that we will finish today’s walk at. We head uphill towards the Ridgeway, this is a fairly long hill with a good gradient but the views from the Ridgeway are definitely worth the effort. We travel along the Ridgeway before heading off in the direction of the charming village of Aldworth, where we will stop at the Four Points pub for some lunch and refreshment. The organiser intends to have a pub lunch here and if you would like to join, please see the menu here and let me know your food order by 21st June 2019.

Following suitable refreshment, we will head back towards the centre of Aldworth for another pub stop. Next up is The Bell Inn, where you will find a great selection of local ales on tap as well as a fantastic pub garden! After leaving the Bell Inn behind us, we head back towards the Ridgeway for our return towards Streatley and our third pub stop: The Bull. This pub has a great selection of Ales and Ciders and I hear there might be a deep fried Mars bar on the desserts menu to tempt you too..

This is where the walk will officially finish with the station just under a mile away for those that wish to leave us here.

There will be a continued pub crawl back towards the station and an evening meal for those that wish to join.

Please note that this will be a challenging walk involving multiple pub stops and thus a fair pace will need to be maintained.
