An 11 mile walk from Uffington with great views of the White Horse.

Walk details

Uffington is a village steeped in history, having been home to the poet laureate John Betjeman, author Thomas Hughes and overlooked by the famous chalk figure of a horse carved into the nearby hill.

There should be ample opportunities to get great views of the white horse throughout the walk as well as other scenic countryside This walk is fairly easy going, there is one relatively steep hill a couple of miles in and from there it is fairly flat. Think of a spicy curry with an initial intense burn that dissipates relatively quickly…

There is unfortunately no public transport to this walk; please car share where possible and park legally and considerately in the village.
