Walk details

Setting off from the station, we’ll first pass through the village, including the parish church which dates from the twelfth century. We’ll head out of Kintbury to the south heading into the maze of fields and little copses, with views available further south towards the ridge of the downs. We’ll clip the edge of Inkpen before turning west, and later head north to reach the common land at Hungerford Port Down. The final two miles of the walk follow the towpath of the Kennet and Avon Canal, before a drink at the Blue Ball back in Kintbury.
