PLEASE NOTE: This walk is limited to 14 walkers + the walk leader.

Due to Government and Ramblers restrictions, places are limited on all of our walks. Please do not turn up for a walk without prior booking via the Google form, as we will have to turn you away.

Due to COVID-19, we all need to take extra steps to stay safe. Please follow all safety advice given by the walk leader, including the latest guidelines on physical distancing while out walking.

Please follow the latest government guidelines on the use of public transport and car sharing. It is recommended that you bring hand sanitizer or gloves in case you need to touch gates/stiles/etc. It is also recommended that you bring a face covering, in case of emergencies. If you or someone else from your household has COVID-19 symptoms, please do not attend.

Meet at Theale station for a 10.30am start. If you are coming from Reading, take the 10.09am departure. The train will arrive at 10.18am. If the train is late, the start of the walk will be too. Parking is available at the station (charges will apply).

This walk will give us the variety of Berkshire! We will see the M4, Ikea (we won’t be stopping to buy Candles or Meatballs), the romantic Dovecot, woodlands, beautiful views and the River Pang. What more could you want from a walk!

The walk will take us away from Theale and up into part of Sulham Woods before brushing past Pangbourne. Down through Tidmarsh – passing the Pub as we can’t stop at them yet, then crossing over the M4, through North Street and then back into Theale and back to the start at the station.

We will stop for lunch along the way after being refreshed here we will start heading back to the station. We will be presented with more beautiful views of the Hampshire countryside.

This is an easy walk which is relatively flat but does have a couple of small slopes to go up and down. The footpaths may be a bit muddy so please wear suitable footwear. Please bring a packed lunch and something to drink.

Book a place on this walk by completing the Google Form. We will only use the contact information you provide to get in touch about the walk, or to share if requested with NHS Test and Trace. If you wish to bring a friend, then you must BOTH complete the booking form.
