Meet outside Wanborough station in time for an 11:00am start. If travelling from Reading, take the 09:48 departure (09:57 Wokingham), which arrives at Wanborough at 10:59. The walk leader will be on this train, so if the train is delayed, the start of the walk will be too. Please note: there is a change at Ash (arr 10:21 dep 10:55). For those wishing to drive there is a limited amount of parking at Wanborough station.
We will begin by following the Fox Way through countryside, passing through the pretty village of Worplesdon. We will then join the River Wey Navigation, following it south all the way into central Guildford. The walk is largely flat, mainly on footpaths, bridleways and towpaths.
Possible pub stop en route, and/or at the end of the walk.
As this is a fairly long walk please bring a packed lunch, plenty to drink and any further snacks you require.
NOTE: This is a linear walk. Buy a return to Guildford. Two trains back to Reading every hour (on the hour and 23 minutes past).
