Theale Circular via Wilder’s Folly, 5.5 miles, easy

Meet at Theale station for a 10.45am start. If you are coming from Reading, take the 10.34am departure arriving at Theale at 10.40am. If you are coming from Newbury, take the 10.12am departure, arriving at Theale at 10.30am.  If the train is late, the start of the walk will be too. Parking is available at the station (charges will apply).

We will meander our way through the Berkshire countryside from Theale station through North Street and onto Sulham. We will be crossing over the M4 before heading up to Sulham. After Sulham we will starting heading back towards Southcote, past Ikea and back into Theale

We will get chance to stop at Wilder’s Folly on Nunhide Hill near Sulham to take in the views across Berkshire near the end of the walk.

There will be the opportunity of a pub stop once we head back into Theale at the end of the walk.

This is an easy walk which is relatively flat. The footpaths may be a bit muddy so please wear suitable footwear. Please bring a packed lunch and something to drink.
