NOTE: The location start point and time (12:30) is from the car park within Dinton Pastures itself.
If you don’t have a car, don’t worry, we will also congregate at Winnersh train station at 12:00, before meeting those who have driven at Dinton Pastures. This is shortly after the arrival of the 11:42 service from Reading, which is due to arrive at Winnersh at 11.51. The walk leader will be on this train – if the train is delayed, the start of the walk will be too.
Please note car parking charges apply at Dinton Pastures. If the main car park is full, please park in the overflow car park but come and meet us in the main car park. If you can’t find us, give me a call.
The walk will begin with a stroll around the peaceful country park, often on well made footpaths. We will then follow the River Loddon north before heading back towards Winnersh via Hurst. This is a flat easy stroll suitable for all. Please bear in mind the longer option of the walk is for those joining us from the station.
At the conclusion of the walk we will head to The Wheelwright Arms where the late afternoon/early evening social will begin. If you wish not to join us the walk leader will provide simple directions to get you back to the train station.
Please bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink.
