This rather hilly walk may be slightly out of area for our usual evening walk programme but it is definitely worth the effort to attend if you can, it could be an epic! We start in Turville, featured as one of the locations for the classic 90’s sitcom, The Vicar of Dibley.
Immediately we are greated with a steep climb passing the windmill that appeared in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. At the top we will pause to get our breath back and marvel at the views that surround us. The route takes us through soft paths following a descent and then we climb again to Ibstone Common. The second half of the walk is less challenging but the views of the Chilterns should at times still be expansive before we return to Turville.
Please bring some water, maybe a light snack. Optional pub stop at end of walk. Possible lift from walk from Caversham if given suitable notice.
