Due to Government and Ramblers restrictions, all walks are limited to 5 walkers + the Walk Leader. Please do not turn up for a walk without prior booking, as we will have to turn you away.

Due to COVID-19, we all need to take extra steps to stay safe. Please follow all safety advice given by the walk leader, including the latest guidelines on physical distancing while out walking.

Please follow the latest government guidelines on the use of public transport and car sharing. It is recommended that you bring hand sanitiser or gloves in case you need to touch gates/stiles/etc. It is also recommended that you bring a face covering, in case of emergencies.  If you or someone else from your household has COVID-19 symptoms, please do not attend.

Meet at the bottom of the Long Walk (at the end of Park Street) in time for a 10.35am start. If travelling by train from Reading, take the 09.56 service and change at Slough to reach Windsor & Eton Central at 10.22am. From there, it is less than 10 minutes’ walk to the start. If driving, there are various car parks around Windsor which mostly charge, although free parking may be available a bit further away in the Home Park car park if you park beyond the tennis courts (https://www3.rbwm.gov.uk/directory_record/9947/home_park). Please contact the leader if you need help finding the meeting point.

A circular walk to the Copper Horse statue and back, going the long way round to save having to walk the entire length of the Long Walk. There will be a few gentle slopes and possibly a bit of mud where we venture off the tarmacked paths. The paths are generally quite wide, allowing plenty of space for social distancing, and the few gates we pass through can be opened without using your hands, but you may wish to bring hand sanitiser just in case.

Please bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink.  There will be no pub stop on this walk.

Book a place on this walk by completing the Google Form. We will only use the contact information you provide to get in touch about the walk, or to share if requested with NHS Test and Trace.
