Join Berkshire Walkers (Membership Process)

The Berkshire Walkers are part of the Ramblers.  Joining brings all the benefits of being part of the UK’s largest walking organisation, with discounts available in many walking shops. You will also receive a regular magazine about walking in the UK and things that affect your rights to walk through our amazing and varied countryside.  Your membership fees will contribute to the Ramblers’ efforts to promote walking as a healthy pass-time, to campaign for access and to fight for maintained access to our rights of way.

Berkshire Walkers Ramblers Group was established in 2000 catering for young walkers in their 20 and 30s. The Group’s age profile now covers people in their 20s, 30s and 40s (as existing members have got older).

Berkshire Walkers has steadily grown its membership and new walkers frequently come along on walks (see Walks Programme for latest walks). Try two or three walks without any initial obligation to join.

  • We have also recently formed a separate group called Berkshire Weekend Walkers for people in their 40s and 50s.
  • All Ramblers Walking Groups welcome members on any walk regardless of age.

  • Joining Berkshire Walkers is simple. First come along on two or three walks to see whether the group is right for you. Walk leaders can offer advice and answer queries about joining.
